Winter wonderland – we love the winter and above all Saalbach-Hinterglemm. The valley also has sooo much to offer off-piste. Naturally, by “off-piste” we mean the giant freeride area, around the Bernkogel towards Fieberbrunn: a pulse raiser for all powder snow lovers. But we also mean the innumerable activities there are to experience without skis, helmet or snowboard. Are you ready for a winter dream? Who doesn't like to go tobogganing? In Saalbach-Hinterglemm there are two illuminated tobogganing runs that turn the night into day! So over the roofs of Saalbach and Hinterglemm, plenty of tobogganing fun awaits you. In Saalbach, a snowcat will take you to the Spielberghaus (starting point only 50 m above our b&b) and in Hinterglemm, you can take the Reiterkogelbahn to the middle station; from these two starting points, you can whizz down. You can also pull some pirouettes on your ice skates, ride snowcats and horse-drawn sleighs, hike through the winter, try snowtubing and frolic.

Our “fuchs & gretl” b&b is located in the heart of Saalbach – only a few steps to the things that make a winter lover's heart race. If you like to tromp through the snow, you'll fall head over heels for the beautiful winter hikes Saalbach has to offer. You can reach nearly everything from the doorstep: the access to the nearly 140 km long network of winter hiking paths, the pubic transport and the nearest lifts – everything is just a hop, skip and a jump away. The dot on the i in your winter holiday?
